Short answers to common questions.
Do I need an account?
No. Shatun runs on your computer. You only need credentials for the AI providers you choose to connect.
Where do my chats live?
On your machine under SHATUN_HOME (see Local data). They are not stored on a Shatun cloud service.
Why won’t the macOS app open?
Unsigned downloads are often blocked by Gatekeeper. Right-click the app → Open, or clear quarantine with xattr as described in Install.
Can I use it only in the browser?
Yes. Run server mode and open the local URL. See Desktop & browser.
Where do I report bugs?
On GitHub Issues. More detail in Feedback and support.
