Models & providers

Shatun does not lock you into one AI vendor. You connect the services you already use.

Providers

In Settings → Providers you can:

1. Add a provider (name, base URL, API format)
2. Choose auth: API key or OAuth when your provider supports it
3. Test the connection and pick models to use in chat

Supported API styles include OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic-compatible endpoints.

Models

• Each model has an id and optional display name
• Sessions remember which model you picked
• Switch models from the chat header when you want a different one

Tips

• Start with one provider you trust, then add more as needed
• Keep API keys private — they are stored in your local config, not on a Shatun cloud
